#Madridges

What happens when you send an Italian, a Mancunian, a Chinese-Australian, a Portuguese Brit and the Spanish host girls to Madrid? A really fun weekend happens!

So a couple a weeks ago I went to Madrid with four of my colleagues and, despite almost dying from a thermal shock, we had the best time ever.

Long walks, Zara shopping, lots of food (duh!) and being a tourist in my own city made a great mix, so I thought I´d share some pictures of our little getaway.

As I said, we really enjoyed he foodie part of our trip. Shout out to two of our favorites:

NICOPANDA // LAUNCH PARTY @ SELFRIDGES

This past Wednesday I had a pre-Easter weekend treat attending Nicopanda's launch party at Selfridges. The event was part of the Agender campaign and it was absolutely fabulous!

For any of you who may be a bit lost... Nicopanda is Nicola Formichetti´s unisex line, that he somehow managed to put together while being Diesel´s creative director. The clothes are definitely fashion forward and may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I do think it's worth having a look at the line and the experience the blurry boundaries.

Everything was both edgy and cute during the event. The drinks offer included raspberry gin served in tea cups (TEA CUPS!) and rose iced tea, yum yum!

And what can I say about the cake!? [cake cake cake cake cake] The only negative thing was trying to eat these delicious marshmallow sweets while still trying to act very cool. At least I want to think even fashionistas have a soft spot for cake, don´t they...?

At the end of the evening we even met the man himself, and my friend Gaia went back home being a happy happy girl! :)

I´d say this is definitely the best way to launch a line... Can we do this again every week, please?

AGENDER - Selfridges

The Agender campaign is definitely one of my favorites since I´ve been familiar with this retail heaven. Through fashion, art, music and design Selfridges will explore gender boundaries and offer a genderless shopping experience to their customers.

As part of this exciting project, Studio Toogood has design the concept space where different unisex lines are offered - some of them exclusive to the store.

The concept store can be visited in the first and second floors of the famous building, next to its central atrium. But as Selfridges does with every campaign, the theme is absolutely everywhere.

During these weeks there are also different events in regards to the topic. I am particularly interested in the collaboration with Scott Schuman (aka. The Sartorialist) to find the perfect ambassador for the campaign - #MyAgender.

Thumbs up to Selfridges Graphics team, because the graphic design of the overall project is just stunning! And I´m absolutely obsessed with it (may even have borrowed a couple of tags here and there...).
